I <br /> �� � 1 <br /> 1 ORDINANCE N 0. <br /> 2 <br /> 31 AN ORDINANCE declaring an emergency to exist and <br /> allocating $338.00 for the year 1967 for expenses of operation <br /> 4 of the Board of Freeholders, and the sum of $2,228.00 for the <br /> year 1968 for expenses of operation of the Board of Freeholders <br /> 5 and fixing the budget for the year 1967-1968. <br /> 6 WHEREAS, at the time of the making of the budget for <br /> I1 the year 1967-68, it could not be reasonably anticipated that <br /> 7 1 expenditures for operation of the Board of Freeholders would <br /> I be necessary, and, <br /> s <br /> 8 I WHEREAS, the voters in November 1967 voted in favor <br /> 9 of the establishment of the Board of Freeholders, and, <br /> 10 <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Freeholders has made a request <br /> for allocation of funds, <br /> 11 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 12 ( Section 1 : That an emergency is hereby declared to <br /> 13 exist and the sum of $338 .00 is hereby allocated for the expen- <br /> 1 ditures of the Board of Freeholders for the year 1967, which <br /> 14 shall be allocated and budgeted as follows : <br /> 15 Travel $ 75 .00 <br /> Stationery, printing, stamps, etc . 200.00 <br /> 16 Telephone (Freeholder credit card) 33 .00 <br /> Office expense (minutes book, <br /> 17 attendance book, etc . ) — 25 .00 <br /> Post Office box rental 5 .00 <br /> 18 <br /> $ 338.00 <br /> 19I Section 2 : That an emergency is hereby declared to <br /> 2011 exist and the sum of $2,228.00 is hereby allocated for the ex- <br /> penditures of the Board of Freeholders for the year 1968, which <br /> 2111 shall be allocated and budgeted as follows : <br /> I I <br /> Legal counsel and consultants fee $1,500.00 <br /> 22j Clerical 300.00 <br /> 23 Travel 100 .00 <br /> I Stationery, printing, stamps, etc . 150.00 <br /> 24 1 Telephone (Freeholder credit card) 100.00 <br /> Office expense (minutes book, <br /> attendance book, etc . ) 75 .00 <br /> ,� Post Office box rental 3.00 <br /> 26 $2,228.00 <br /> 2711 <br /> (( Section 3: The expenditures above provided for <br /> 281 shall be paid from available funds or by the issuance of emer- <br /> gency warrants; if emergency warrants are issued, they shall <br /> 29 be paid from any moneys on hand in the City Treasury in the <br /> fund properly chargeable for such expenditures; if there be <br /> 30not sufficient funds, then by the issuance of emergency warrant <br /> $ <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
