C. PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR USES NOT SPECIFIED: <br /> Where the parking requirements for a use are not specifically <br /> definedherein, the parking requirements for such use shall be <br /> determined by the Planning Director and such determination shall <br /> be based upon the requirements for the most comparable use <br /> specified herein. <br /> D. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS : <br /> The following general requirements shall apply: <br /> 1. Size and access : Each off-street parking space shall have an <br /> area of not less than 170 square feet exclusive of drives or aisles, <br /> and a width of not less than 8-1/2 feet. Each such space shall be <br /> provided with adequate ingress and egress. <br /> When the required parking space is to serve a residential structure <br /> and is not to be provided in a covered garage, such space shall be <br /> 1 , f not less than 200 square feet. <br /> 2. Location: Off-street parking facilities shall be located as <br /> hereinafter specified: <br /> Where a distance is specified, such distance shall be the distance <br /> measured from the nearest point of the parking facility to the <br /> nearest point of the building that such facility is required to serve: <br /> (a) for one-, two-, or multiple-family dwellings, parking facilities <br /> shall be located on the same lot or building site as the building <br /> they are required to serve; <br /> (b) for uses other than those specified above, parking facilities <br /> shall be located not over 300 feet from the building they are <br /> required to serve except as otherwise permitted under Special <br /> Uses (Sec. 15.04.070). <br /> 3. Plans : The plan of the proposed parking area shall be submitted <br /> to the Building Department at the time of the application for the <br /> building permit for the building in which the parking Area is <br /> accessory. The plan shall clearly indicate the proposed development <br /> including location size, shape, design, curb cuts, lighting, <br /> landscaping screening and other features and appurtenances of the <br /> proposed parking lot. <br /> E. OFF-STREET LOADING REQUIREMENTS: <br /> Every principal building hereafter erected or substantially altered, <br /> if used for any commercial purpose which requires the receipt or <br /> distribution of material or merchandise by trucks or similar vehicles <br /> shall be provided with off-street loading or unloading berths as follows : <br /> - 3 - <br /> OFFICIAL RECORDS <br /> VOL 206 PAGE 412 <br />
