I7 -- o 2 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE VACATION OF: "4 3 All streets and alleys in the plat of Everett Real 4 Estate and Investment Company' s first addition to Everett lying west of the following described line : 5 Beginning at a point on the north line of the SE* 6 of Section 1, T 28 N, R 4 E.W.M. 715-feet west of the east 4 corner of Section 1, T 28 N, R E .W.M; 7 thence south 40--feet to the N.E. corner of Lot 10, Block 2 of said addiiion; thence south along the 8 east line of Lots 10 and 23 and the line produced for 332-feet to the N.E. corner of Lot 10, Block 5; 9 thence east on the south line of Avenue B 50-feet to the N.E. corner Lot 8, Block 5; thence south along the east line of Lots 8 and 25, Block 5 con- 10 tinuing across Avenue C and along the east line of Lot 8, Block 8 for 450-feet to the S .E. corner of „ 11 Lot 8 Block 8; thence west on south line of cogN Lots 8 and 9, Block 8 for 50-feet to the S . E. of 12 Lot 10, Block 8; thence south along the east line 13 of Lot 23, Block 8 continuing across Avenue D and along the east line of Lots 10 and 23, Block 11 and across Avenue E for 508.8-feet more or less to the 14 south line of said plat . 15 WHEREAS, the owners of more than two-thirds of the private property abutting upon the streets and alleys described 16 as follows : 17 All streets and alleys within the Plat of Everett Real Estate and Investment Co . 's First Addition, 18 except First Street and except those portions of Avenues "A", "B", "C", "D" and "E", and alleys 19 in Blocks 1, 6, 7 and 12, lying east of a line, 20 feet west of the west line of First Street 20 (Beverly Lane) , situated within the City of Everett, County of Snohomish, State of Washington, 21 have duly filed a petition with the City Council of the City of 22 Everett praying for vacation of said streets and alleys, and, 23 WHEREAS, said City Council of the City of Everett did by resolution duly adopted, fix the 30th day of August, 1967, at 24 9:00 a.m. of said day for the hearing and determination of said petition, and, 25 WHEREAS, due and legal notice of the time and place of 26 said hearing and the determination of said petition has been given by the City Clerk in the manner prescribed by law, and, 27 WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for hearing objec- 28 tions to the vacating of the herein described streets were heard and discussed, and, 29 WHEREAS, it now appears to the City Council of the City 30 of Everett that a portion of said streets and alleys petitioned to be vacated should be vacated, 31 • 32 • OFFICIAL RECORDS r VOL 162 PACE 502
