<br /> AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE VACATION OF:
<br /> That portion of Wetmore Avenue south of the proposed Washington State
<br /> Highway right-of-way line on the south side of 41st Street, abutted on
<br /> the west by Lots 24 to Fr 31 inclusive, Block 17, Plat of South Park
<br /> Addition to Everett, and on the east abutted by Lots 3 to 9, inclusive,
<br /> Block 18, Plat of South Park Addition, and on the south abutted by the
<br /> previously vacated street of Wetmore Avenue,
<br /> •
<br /> and declaring an emergency to exist.
<br /> WHEREAS, the owners of more than two-thirds of the private property abutting
<br /> upon the street above described have duly filed their petition with the City Council
<br /> of Everett praying for the vacation of said streets, and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said City Council of the City of Everett did by resolution duly
<br /> adopted, fix the 16th day of August, 1967, at 9 :00 a.m. of said day for the hearing
<br /> and determination of said petition, and
<br /> WHEREAS, due and legal notice of the time and place of said hearing and the
<br /> determination of said petition has been given by the City Clerk in the manner pre-
<br /> scribed by law, and
<br /> WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for hearing objections to the vacating
<br /> of the herein described streets were heard and discussed, and
<br /> WHEREAS, it now appears to the City Council that said petition should be
<br /> granted, said City Council does hereby determine to vacate the above described
<br /> streets. •
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN:
<br /> SECTION 1 : That the streets in the City of Everett, County of Snohomish,
<br /> State of Washington, described as follows, to-wit :
<br /> That portion of Wetmore Avenue south of the proposed Washington State High-
<br /> way right-of-way line on the south side of 41st Street, abutted on the west
<br /> by Lots 24 to Fr 31 inclusive, Block 17, Plat of South Park Addition to
<br /> Everett, and on the east abutted by Lots 3 to 9 inclusive, Block 18, Plat
<br /> of South Park Addition, and on the south abutted by the previously vacated
<br /> street of Wetmore Avenue,
<br /> be and the same are hereby vacated.
<br /> SECTION 2 : That an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
<br /> shall take effect upon its passage and publication.
