McCormick <br />Building use: Restaurant (Beverly Pizza) 3 <br />Project Summary: <br />This building was built in 1922 andhas been remodeled several times in the past. The building is a single <br />story building with a crawl space. The current tenant (Beverly Pizza) has been in the building for several <br />years. On November 14th, 2017, there was a vehicle fire near the building and the resulting fire came <br />through the window air conditioner resulting in substantial smoke damage to the interior of the <br />building. The exterior wall is brick, protecting the building from fire. There was no structural damage <br />from the fire, only smoke damage. As a result of the smoke damage, the tenant had a cleanup company <br />remove all their kitchen appliances and belongings. The owner had a cleanup company remove the <br />smoke damaged interior, including the ceiling and wall sheetrock. The existing two bathrooms were not <br />damaged by smoke and will not be part of the remodel. <br />The owner would like to take this opportunity remodel the interior of the building, which will include <br />removal of the wall separating the kitchen and dining room, building three new walls to move the <br />kitchen area to the center of the back wall and to wall off an office area. The type 1 exhaust hood will <br />be located where the previous hood was located. There will be mechanical, electrical and plumbing <br />changes in this remodel, including installation of a gas furnace for heating, moving the 3 basin wash sink, <br />2 prep sinks, mop sink and hand wash sink, and electrical wiring for appliances and lighting. The interior <br />will be finished in sheetrock, including the ceiling.
