Please let me know and I'll see what I can do to get a letter to you.
Thanks,
Adam
From:Tony Lee<TLee@everettwa.gov>
Sent: Friday,June 28, 2019 8:33 AM
To: 'Chris Rensch'<chris.r@renschengineering.com>; Adam Clark<AdamP2812architecture.com>
Cc:Adam Lyons<adam.l@renschengineering.com>;James Bronder<JBronder@everettwa.gov>
Subject: RE: lizuna Cider
One code section that applies is International Property Maintenance Code Section 403.4. It states"Where injurious,
toxic, irritating or noxious fumes, gases, dusts or mists are generated,a local exhaust ventilation system shall be
provided to remove the contaminating agent at the source.Air shall be exhausted to the exterior and not be recirculated
to any space."
The codes do not have any specific requirements for cider operations(that I have found) however the generic code
section above notes that a system needs to be provided. We will accept the design from the engineer of record as there
are no prescriptive design requirements...this is a good example of an engineering judgement solution. We suggest a
letter(proposal)from the EOR that outlines the proposed approach, and then seal the letter. We will get right on the
approval process for the request.
Thanks,Tony
/i
