A total of eight(8)
3-inch diameter push piers were installed by Innovative Foundation Solutions(IFS)to underpin the
northeastern corner of the house foundation for the purpose of stabilizing and lifting to relevel the
foundation. The foundation had settled about 3/4".
Wade Lassey with GEO Group Northwest, Inc.,was at the site and inspected the pier installation and
recorded the pier load test. Based on our observations the piers and the foundation brackets were
installed in accordance with the project plans and specifications and are acceptable. The piers were
individually installed to either a maximum installation pressure of 6000 psi(34,200 equivalent lbs) or
until the house foundation started to lift. After installing all the piers, the foundation in the northeast
corner was lifted and releveled.
Attached is the field report with the recorded pier installation pressures and pier depths. A quick load
test was performed in accordance with ASTM D1143-81 on pier#1 to 200 percent of the design load
of 12,500 lbs and the load test passed. The load test data sheet is attached.
13705 Bel-Red Road - Bellevue,Washington 98005
Phone 425/649-8757 • Fax 4351649-8758
