44, <br /> ORDINANCE NO. •: } <br /> AN ORDINANCE declaring an emergency to exist and allocating <br /> the sum of $30,000.00 to the Traffic Engineering Dept. for <br /> payment of expenses for relocation of communication utilities. <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Washington is constructing a freeway <br /> through the City of Everett, and <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary that certain communication utilities <br /> of the City of Everett be moved, partly at the expense of <br /> the State and partly at the expense of the city, and <br /> WHEREAS, the State requires that the city contract for the <br /> relocation and the state will reimburse the city for a portion <br /> of said expenses, and <br /> WHEREAS, it could not have reasonably been foreseen at the time of the <br /> making of the budget for the year 1967 that such expenditure would <br /> be required, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That an emergency is hereby declared to exist and <br /> the sum of $30,000.00 is hereby allocated from the General Current <br /> Expense Fund of the City of Everett to the Traffic Engineering <br /> Department for the payment of cost of relocation of communication <br /> utilities in connection with freeway construction from Juniper <br /> Drive to 43rd Street and additional expenses incurred in connection <br /> with freeway construction from 43rd St. to the Snohomish River, <br /> which will be reimbursed by the State of Washington. <br /> Section 2: That the sum hereby appropriated shall be paid by the <br /> issuance of warrants drawn on such funds by the proper officers of <br /> the City of Everett as provided by law. <br /> A.
