November 13, 2013 <br /> Washington State Military Department to receive funding for the <br /> Emergency Management Operations in the amount of$57,338.00. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING — 2014 BUDGET <br /> Council President Moore reconvened the public hearing on the 2014 <br /> Budget. <br /> The council members questioned various budget items and changes and <br /> received responses from staff. <br /> Council President Moore invited public comment. <br /> Cletus Skrabak, Everett, spoke regarding the plight of median families in <br /> the city of Everett and suggested that in the 2014 budget city employees <br /> pay a minimum of 25% of their health premiums. <br /> Gail Chism, Everett, questioned whether the Parks Department could tap <br /> into the conservation future monies and expressed concern regarding the <br /> condition of the Lowell Larimer Road. <br /> Victor Harris, Everett, spoke regarding quality of life in Everett and the <br /> expanded duties of the Code Enforcement Department. <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts, seconded by Council Member <br /> Gipson to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 326 <br />
