Jim Souder
From: Kevin Cricchio
Sent: Wednesday, March 01, 2006 9:41 AM
To: Gerry Ervine
Cc: Spring Wathen; Steve Ingalsbe; Dave Koenig; Jim Souder
2 2 ) r
3/1/06
RE: 2818 Wetmore, B3 Zone
Hello and good morning. A business license was recently approved for a Dean Summers to operate an
antique/collectibles auction business every weekend or so at the above referenced address. The name of the business is
"The House Antique and Collectables Trade Shows."
After talking to Jim with the Clerk's office, there was a complaint 1-2 weeks ago and the police shut down a teen dance
hall/club that was being conducted therein.
Recently, the applicant came back in to the Clerk's Office to amend his business license. The applicant now in a shot gun
approach proposes the following:
• trade show
• auction
• hall rentals for weddings, religion, music events, and antiques
• historical tours
• alcohol sales
• and possibly sublease a portion of the building for a coffee shop and/or restaurant.
After looking at the EZC and talking to Steve, it appears most of what he proposes is permittable. However, espresso
stands as a primary use is not permitted in the zone. Restaurants with drive up windows also are not permitted. The
music hall/club aspect of his proposal also appears to trigger the need for a special use permit. Do you all concur?
Please let me know what you think.
Thank you,
Kevin Cricchio, Assistant Planner
Planning Department
City of Everett
425/257.7281
,..-: ,...z.,-:•,;: ,„..,,t, -:,..„,,,.,.::::,5 :::„,,,,;',/:':'',7;2..''':. ii,,---,'-'<:,.?-, ,,:.t.' :`,::.-.,,,"
s
a
1
