AN ORDINANCE of the City of Everett , Washington providing for the iss ance and sale of general obligation bonds of t e city in the principal amount of $4,500,000 for the purpose of providing funds to pay the cost of improving a substantial number of arterial an. main streets throughout the city ; creating a ;mid Redemption Fund for the payment of the principal of and interest on said bonds ; providing the date, form, terms , maturities and covena is thereof, and for unlimited tax levies •o pay the principal thereof and interest thereon. WHEREAS , at a special el=ction held by the City of Everett , Washington (hereinafter calle. the "City" ) on the 7th day of February , 1967, the number an. proportion of the qualified electors of the City required by law for the adoption thereof voted in favor of a propositi.n authorizing the issuance of unlimited tax levy general ob igation bonds of the City in the principal amount of $4 ,500 ,001 for the purpose of providing funds necessary to make certa n capital improvements to a substantial number of main an. arterial streets throughout the City by paving, widening and •hannelizing, acquiring rights of way and installing traffic si:nals , signs and controls as more fully provided in Ordinance N. . 4192 of the City passed and approved December 23, 1966 ; a d WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and advisable that the City now sell and issue all o said bonds to provide the money for such purposes ; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That there s all now be issued and sold the $4 ,500 ,000 principal amount o unlimited tax levy general obligation bonds of the City (hereinafter called the "Bonds" ) authorized by the qualified e ectors thereof at a special election held therein on Febr ary 7, 1967, for the purpose of providing funds necessary to pay the cost of improving a substantial number of arteria and main streets throughout the
