v <br /> II <br /> ORDINANCE NO. bra( <br /> AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR IMPOUNDING OF DOGS AND FIXING <br /> FEES FOR KEEPING AND IMPOUNDING OF DOGS AND REPEALING <br /> EVERETT CITY CODE, SECTIONS 5. 04. 070, 5. 04. 080, and 5. 04. 090, <br /> and DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: Any dog found running at large in violation of the <br /> ordinances of the City of Everett upon any public place or property, or <br /> upon the private property of another, in the City of Everett, unless <br /> controlled by a leash as required by the ordinances of the City of Everett <br /> shall be impounded by the Pound Master or his assistants. If the animal <br /> is licensed a notice shall be mailed as soon as reasonably possible to the <br /> owner thereof at his address as shown upon said license. If said licensed <br /> dog is not redeemed within 48 hours after the date of mailing of said notice <br /> the animal may be disposed of. All unlicensed animals shall be disposed <br /> of within 48 hours of the date of impoundment. The owner of any dog so <br /> impounded may reclaim such dog upon payment of the sum of $10, plus <br /> payment of current license fee, if unlicensed. <br /> Section 2: That Everett City Code, Sections 5. 04. 070, 5. 04. 080 <br /> and 5. 04. 090 be, and the same are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 3: That an emergency is hereby declared to exist and <br /> this Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication. <br /> -?- g <br /> A.
