ORDINANCE NO. 47 6 .3 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 6 of Ordinance No. 4181 dealing with fees and <br /> disposing garbage, waste and refuse material on the city disposal site and <br /> declaring an emergency to exist. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 6 of Ordinance No. 4181 is hereby amended as follows: <br /> Section 6: Fees. The following fees are fixed for the acceptance of garbage, <br /> waste and refuse material at the disposal site, and said fees shall be paid to <br /> the attendant in charge, or, in the case of commercial refuse and garbage contractor, <br /> in such periodic installments as the City o4 Everett through the Sanitation <br /> Superintendent may establish and determine, said fees being as follows, to-wit: <br /> Explanation Minimum Minimum <br /> Per Vehicle Per Cubic Yard <br /> (a) Private passenger cars , including <br /> stationwagons licensed as private <br /> passenger cars when bringing refuse <br /> from private residences in the city, <br /> the vehicles being owned by city <br /> residents. None None <br /> (b) Private passenger cars, non-city <br /> residents .35 .45 <br /> (c) Stationwagons not licensed as private <br /> passenger cars or hauling commercial <br /> refuse .35 .45 <br /> (d) Pickup trucks .45 .45 <br /> (e) Panel trucks .45 .45 <br /> (f) Commercial refuse trucks None .45 <br /> (g) All reguse delivered by methods <br /> other than above listed None .45 <br /> The Sanitation Superintendent shall have authority to refuse to accept materials <br /> for disposal at the disposal site from any person not paying the fees herein set <br /> forth; further, the Sanitation Superintendent shall have authority to refuse to <br /> accept materials for disposal at the disposal site from commercial haulers and <br /> collectors who have not paid for disposal services at the disposal site by the <br /> 20th of the month following the rendering of a statement from the city to such <br /> contractor. The Sanitation Superintendent shall maintain accurate records in a <br /> daily log of all fees received at the disposal site, and further, a log or record <br /> that will include information on the number of vehicles that use the site, the type <br /> and volume of waste received, and any deviation from normal operations that may have <br /> occurred during any particular day. The records of the disposal site and all accounts <br /> for fees collected shall be under the direction of the City Clerk-Comptroller, and <br /> the Sanitation Superintendent shall establish that system of accounting to obtain the <br /> information herein set forth as may be prescribed by the City Clerk-Comptroller or <br /> Commissioner of Finance from time to time. <br /> Section 2: That an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall <br /> take effect upon its passage and publication. <br /> a -7:2- <br /> Mayor <br /> Atte <br /> 467 Clerk- mptroller <br /> Passed: /— 3 /_/ `7 Published: <br />
