ORDINANCE NO . i7 .?0 / AN ORDINANCE of the City of Everett , Washington, adopting a plan for the acquisition, con- struction and installation of certain additions and improvements to and extensions of the water supply and distribution system of the City; declaring the estimated cost thereof and pro- viding for the payment of such estimated cost ; creating a 1967 Water System Construction Fund; providing for the issuance of warrants against the same , and for the payment of certain moneys therein ; and declaring an emergency . WHEREAS , the existing water supply and distribution system of the City of Everett (hereinafter called the "City" ) is in need of certain additions , improvements and extensions in order to properly supply the City , its inhabitants and people living in the vicinity thereof with an adequate supply of potable water for all needs and uses ; and WHEREAS , in order to pay part of the cost of acquiring, constructing and installing such additions and improvements to and extensions of such system, it is deemed necessary and advisable that the City issue and sell its water revenue bonds in the principal amount of not to exceed $1 ,272 ,500 ; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN : Section 1. The following plan for the acquisition, con- struction and installation of additions and improvements to and extensions of the water supply and distribution system of the City is hereby specified and adopted, to wit : The City shall acquire , construct and install the following : 1 . A 36" diameter water transmission main fabricated of steel with coal-tar enamel lining and protective coatings , complete with the necessary valves and appurtenances , located in and along Evergreen Way between the City 's Reservoir No . 3 and Casino Road, a distance of 8 ,650 lineal feet . 2 . A water pumping station having a capacity of 20 M.G .D. being constructed of reinforced concrete , being complete with the necessary pumps , valves , controls , and piping and connected
