ORDINANCE NO. 4/5-6 AN ORDINANCE annexing certain property of the City of Everett, and declaring an emergency to exist, WHEREAS, pursuant to R.C .W. 35.13.130, a petition was presented to the City Council of the City of Everett proposing the annexation of certain property, and WHEREAS, the City of Everett did approve the filing of a petition for annexation and thereafter a petition pursuant to R.C .W. 35.13.130 signed by owners of not less than seventy-five per cent in value according to the assessed valuation for general taxes of the property proposed to be annexed was filed with the '' City of Everett, and WHEREAS, the Review Board provided by R.C .W. 35.13 .171 has approved said annexation, and ti WHEREAS, the Commissioners of the City of Everett, a municipal corporation did fix the 20th day of June 1966, for hearing upon said petition and caused notice of hearing to be published in one issue of the Everett Daily Herald, a news- paper of general circulation in the city, and caused said notice also to be posted in three (3) places within the territory pro- posed for annexation which notice as published and as posted specified the time and place of hearing and invited interested persons to appear and voice approval or disapproval of the annexation, and WHEREAS, following the hearing the Commissioners of Everett, a municipal corporation, have determined to annex all of the property described in the petition as hereinafter set forth. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and `. publication. Section 2: That the property hereinafter described be, . and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Everett upon the date of the passage and publication of this ordinance. That portion of the NE; of Sec. 24, T28N, R4 E.W.M. described as follows : Begin at the intersection of the South marginal line of Diagonal Way (Broadway Cut-off) with. the Northline of Sec . 24, T28N, R4 E.W.M. (the existing south City Limits line of the City of Everett, Washington) ; th S89°12 '20" West along said City Limits line for 539.07 feet to the West marginal line of County Road (2nd Ave . Relocation) ; th SO°56'18" East along said West line of County Road and said West line produced Southerly 208.67 feet to its intersection with the South line of Diagonal Way (Broadway Cut-off) ; th N68°02 ' East along the South marginal line of said Diagonal Way and the North Line of the plat 3
