izi
EVERETT
WASHINGTON September 12, 2019
HopeWorks Social Enterprise
Ed Petersen
3331 Broadway
Everett, WA 98201
Dear Ed,
Please accept this letter as confirmation that the City of Everett is
removing itself as a project host site for the HopeWorks AmeriCorps
Vista program that was established via a Memorandum of Understanding
between the City of Everett and HopeWorks Social Enterprises in Winter
2019.
Staff and workload shifts at the City of Everett made it impossible to host
an AmeriCorps Vista. The City appreciates HopeWorks understanding our
need to depart from the program.
The City had requested a full refund of$5,000, however since,
HopeWorks requested they retain $1,000 for the administrative support
functions the HopeWorks Vista Project Manager has provided in
administering the grant, developing the project proposals, and working
with the City to develop the position. In good faith, the City recognizes
the expenses have been incurred over the past several months and
therefore formally requests a refund of just $4000 payable to the City of
Everett.
Thank you for your support of our community and collaborations to
Community address the challenging issues of poverty and opioid misuse.
Development
Q2930 Wetmore Ave.,Ste.10A
Everett,WA 98201 Sincerely,
425.257.7120
liak-,..., F.---,,,,...t"
0 425.257.0001 fax
Julie Frauenholtz
everettwa.gov
Community Development Director
