Third Avenue, Everett Dear Mr. Brooks: This letter will confirm and supplement our telephone conversation of February 10, 1989. We briefly discussed the development to the north and uphill from the Acrowood property. The property owner is Nova Woodworks. Their architect is Brant McCorkle of the Driftmier architectual firm. Acrowood is concerned abuut drainage from the Nova property. At first, Nova proposed running a pipe over the hill to the Acrowood property. When Acrowood declined, Nova suggested it would install a ground recharge system, apparently consisting of a catch basin and drain field. We are concerned that this will create later problems. The slope is unstable and the presence of a drain field may cause erosion problems. Acrowood currently has to pump its storm drainage up to the storm sewer system. We believe it will be most effective for Nova to do the same. There has been brief discussion regarding a "regional" solution involving all properties. We are not opposed to this concept. However, we are unable to spend Acrowood money to solve other people's drainage problems. We are most willing to cooperate if the neighboring property owners wish to fund a regional solution.
