August 21, 2019 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., <br /> August 21, 2019, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore Historic <br /> City Hall, Council President Bader presiding. Upon roll call, it was found that <br /> Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Vogeli, Bader, and Stonecipher were <br /> present. Mayor Franklin and Council Member Tuohy were excused. <br /> Council Member Murphy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 14, 2019, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Member Murphy abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Franklin was excused. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Murphy provided a liaison report from the Public Facilities <br /> District exit conference with the Washington State Auditors. <br /> Council Member Vogeli provided an update from the Westmont-Holly <br /> Neighborhood cleanup on Saturday. She also stated she attended the Moms <br /> Demand Action rally and the Farmer's Market on Sunday. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated he attended the Fresh Paint event at the Port of <br /> Everett over the weekend. He also stated he attended the Moms Demand Action <br /> rally. Council Member Roberts provided an update from the General Government <br /> Subcommittee meeting held earlier this evening. <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts, seconded by Council Member Vogeli, to <br /> work with staff to develop a resolution consistent with House Bill 1406, which <br /> encourages investments in affordable and supportive housing. <br /> 246 <br />
