October 9, 2019 <br /> COUNCIL BILL 1909-48 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE creating a Special Improvement Project, entitled "Water <br /> Main Replacement U," Fund 336, Program 003 <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts, seconded by Council Member Murphy,that <br /> this is declared to be the third and final reading of Council Bill No. 1909-48, and <br /> the City Clerk is directed to call the roll for the final disposition of the ordinance. <br /> AYES: Roberts, Murphy, Vogeli, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy <br /> NAYS: None <br /> EXCUSED: Moore <br /> Ordinance No. 3703-19 adopted. <br /> COUNCIL BRIEFING AGENDA: <br /> Adopt Resolution to consider the use of Project Labor Agreements and <br /> Community Work Force Agreements for major constructions projects. <br /> Presented by Paul Kaftanski, Administration <br /> Council Member Murphy requested additional information about the potential <br /> impact on women-and minority-owned businesses by implementation of this <br /> requirement. <br /> Paul Kaftanski stated he would obtain this information and report back to the <br /> Council. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated he supports these approaches; however, he <br /> suggests the City communicate with the Snohomish County Labor Council and <br /> Sound Transit. He also suggested further conversation about the $5 million <br /> threshold and the impact on certain businesses when this threshold is not met. <br /> 305 <br />
