This Section covers the requirements for compliance with health and safety precautions <br /> and controls for projects without hazardous waste operations. <br /> ' B. Safety plan. <br /> C. Protection of equipment, public and city staff. <br /> 1.2 REFERENCES <br /> A. General: The publications listed below form a part of these specifications to the extent <br /> referenced. The publications are referred to in the text by basic designations only. <br /> B. Code of Federal and State Regulations <br /> 1. OSHA General Industry Safety and Health Standards (29 CFR 1910), Publication <br /> V2206; OSHA Construction Industry Standards (29 CFR 1926.) <br /> ' 2. National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (40 CFR, part 61). <br /> 3. Washington State Department of Labor and Industries (WISHA) 49.17-49.26 RCW <br /> 4. Washington Administration Code WAC 296-155 Safety Standards for Construction <br /> I Work <br /> 5. Washington Administrative Code WAC 296—843 Safety Standards for Hazardous <br /> Waste. <br /> 1.3 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. The following submittals are required to be delivered within 5 days after Notice to <br /> Proceed has been received. <br /> 1. Health and Safety Plan (specific to this project) <br /> 2. Trench and Excavation Protection Plan. <br /> ' 3. Copies of all minutes/notes from daily safety meetings. <br /> 1.4 ACCIDENT REPORTING <br /> A. Serious accidents such as those resulting in treatment of an injury at a medical facility, <br /> response to the site by emergency medical personnel or damage to property other than <br /> that of the Contractor shall be reported to the Owner within twenty-four (24) hours of the <br /> occurrence. <br /> ' B. A copy of each accident report, which the Contractor or subcontractors have submitted <br /> to their insurance carriers, shall be forwarded to the Owner as soon as possible, but in <br /> no event later than seven (7) calendar days after the accident occurred. <br /> 01 35 29 - 1 HEALTH AND SAFETY <br />
