City of Everett 01 35 44 - 1 <br /> 3600 Smith Street Clean Up <br /> SECTION 01 35 44 - HAZARDOUS MATERIALS PROCEDURES <br /> 111 PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> ' 1.1 SUMMARY <br /> ' A. This Section specifies earthwork requirements for the site, including removal of <br /> contaminated soils, backfilling and compaction of import soil, grading and other Work <br /> incidental to the earthwork shown on the Contract Drawings or required to accomplish <br /> ' the Work under this Contract. <br /> B. Earthwork covered under this Section includes, but is not limited to, the following <br /> elements: <br /> 1. Excavating, stockpiling, loading, and transporting soil identified as contaminated <br /> to an approved Subtitle D solid waste landfill. <br /> 2. Excavating and stockpiling overburden. <br /> 3. Placing and compacting overburden and imported material to final grades. <br /> 4. Final site grading and restoration activities. <br /> 1.2 REFERENCE STANDARDS <br /> A.
