I <br /> CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTON <br /> SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSAL AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR <br /> PACIFIC AVENUE TO INTERURBAN TRAIL BICYCLE SAFETY PROJECT <br /> COE U PW3688 <br /> STATE FUND # HLP PB17(014) <br /> NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS <br /> ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the PACIFIC AVENUE TO INTERURBAN TRAIL BICYCLE SAFETY <br /> PROJECT will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 1St Floor Wall Street Building, 2930 Wetmore, Everett, <br /> Washington 98201, until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday,August27, 2019. <br /> At the appointed time, all bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in an assigned conference room on the <br /> 8th floor of the Wall Street Building. <br /> The engineer's estimate for this Project is $477,780. <br /> The Work includes, but is not limited to: removing asphalt concrete surfaces; removing sidewalk and curbs; <br /> removing existing vegetation and trees; grading; construction of sidewalk, curb and gutter, curb ramps, <br /> pedestrian handrail, and cement concrete modular block retaining wall; paving with hot mix asphalt; <br /> pavement marking, signing; illumination, traffic signals and traffic signal interconnect; relocation and <br /> recording of survey control monument; and traffic control, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, <br /> Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. <br /> Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to <br /> Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", <br /> "Public Works",and"City of Everett". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents <br /> with the ability to: download,view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and <br /> a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders "Register" in order to receive automatic e- <br /> mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the "Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that <br /> do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan <br /> room for addenda issued on this project. Contact Builders Exchange of Washington at (425) 258-1303 should <br /> you require assistance with access or registration. <br /> All bids must be made upon the regular forms provided for this purpose and must be accompanied by a bid bond <br /> or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid. <br /> The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities. No Bidder <br /> may withdraw his Bid after the hour set for the opening thereof. The City further reserves the right to make the <br /> bid award as deemed in the best interest of the City.
