F- if , . • ORDINANCE NO. 4121 AN ORDINANCE fixing and determining the number, designation, 4 and compensation of the various officers, assistants, deputies, and employees of the City of Everett; prescribing their duties; providing for medical services; repealing Ordinance No. 4062 of the City of Everett and repealing Chapter 1.16 acid Chapter 1.24, City Code of the City of Everett, and establishing code numbers; and declaring an emergency to exist and providing that said Ordinance shall take effect on January 1, 1966. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That beginning January 1, 1966, the number, desig- nation and compensation and duties of the officers, assistants, deputies and employees of the City of Everett shall be as in this Ordinance, pro- vided, except as otherwise fixed by charter. (1.16.010) Section 2: CITY ATTORNEY DEPARTMENT The number, designation and compensation of employees in the City Attorney's office shall be as hereinafter set forth. The employees in the City Attorney's office shall be under the direction of the City Attorney and shall perform such duties as he shall direct. 1 City Attorney $750.00 per month 1 Special City Attorney $370.00 per month 1 Stenographer, PT $250.00 per month 1 Relief Help, PT $200.00 per month (1.16.020) Section 3: CITY HALL DEPARTMENT The number, designation and compensation of employees in the City Hall Department shall be as hereinafter set forth. The employees in the City Hall Department shall be under the direction of the Mayor and shall perform such duties as he shall direct. 2 Janitors R29.1 * $375.00 - $439.00 per month Day Laborers $2.22 per hour *Incumbent (1.16.030) Section 4: CITY CLERK-COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT The number, designation and compensation of employees in the City Clerk-Comptroller Department shall be as hereinafter set forth. It shall be the duty of such officers, deputies and assistants to perform the duties ,, per- taining to the office and as directed by the City Clerk-Comptroller or the Commissioner of Finance. The duties of the City Clerk-Comptroller shall be extended to include the responsibility for all accounting methods and procedures for all departments of the City and shall be in general charge of the operations of the Finance Department under the direction of the Commissioner of Finance.
