ORDINANCE NO. f// <br /> AN ORDINANCE dealing with the hours and days when meat <br /> can be sold and amending Section 10.32 .230 Everett City Code <br /> and declaring an emergency to exist, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 10.32 .230 Everett City Code <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Hours of sale. It shall be unlawful to offer <br /> for sale and or sell any meats except poultry, <br /> rabbit, cured meats, frozen meats and fish at <br /> retail on the first day of the week, commonly <br /> known as Sunday or prior to nine a.m. or after <br /> nine p.m. on any other day of the week. The <br /> purpose of this regulation is to provide for <br /> the proper and efficient enforcement of this <br /> chapter and to further provide for the elimina- <br /> tion of fraud and negligence in the handling <br /> of meats, and to protect the general public <br /> from the acquisition of dangerous and loath- <br /> some diseases and act of dishonesty. <br /> No meats except poultry, rabbit, cured meats, <br /> frozen meats and fish shall remain in or be <br /> left in any public display case from nine p.m. <br /> on Saturday until Monday morning at nine a .m. <br /> following said Sunday. <br /> Section 2 : That an emergency is hereby declared to <br /> exist and this Ordinance is to take effect upon its passage <br /> and publication. <br /> MAYOR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Ci1T CLERK <br /> Passed: <br /> Published: 6 C. 7 • 7 /9 <br />
