Section 303(b) of the Uniform Building Code provides that permits expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by permit is suspended, after the work is commenced, for a period of 180 days. The Code also requires final inspection prior to occupancy for all permits issued, and it is the responsibility of the permit holder to call for the necessary inspections. Hecause of these time frames, your permit has already expired. However, the City of Everett is at this time extending a one-time grace period to holders of recently expired pernuts. If pou wish to recoimnence work you may renew your permit at no cost for an additional 1B0 day period _ by submitting a'written request to this office.
