` ORDINANCE NO. a y AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 14. 12. 020 AND 14. 12. 040 OF THE EVERETT CITY CODE, BEING A PART OF ORDINANCE NO. 3731 PROVIDING FOR RATES, CHARGES,, BILLINGS, COLLECTIONS, LIENS AND ENFORCEMENT FOR SEWER SERVICES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST AND ESTABLISHING THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE TO BE MAY 6, 1965. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Section 14. 12. 020 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 14. 12. 020 Charges and rates for sewerage service. The classes of users connected and to be connected to the sanitary sewer system or the combined sewer system and the charges for sewage service for each are hereby fixed as follows: I. Properties served by the Everett municipal water system within the corporate limits of the city: A. Flat rate domestic water accounts 1. Single family dwellings..'$2. 25 per month 2. Multiple family dwellings».'$2. 25 per month for first living unit, plus $1. 50 for each additional living unit. B. Metered water accounts 1. Paying up to $75 per month for water-.1/2 of monthly rate with $2. 25 monthly minimum charge. 2. Paying not less than $75 and under $180 per month for water ".$37. 50 maximum per month. 3. Paying not less than $180 and under $210 per month for water.'-$45. 00 maximum per month. 4. Paying not less than $210 and under $240 per month for water»«$52. 50 maximum per month. 5. Paying not less than $240 and under $270 per month for water-'460. 00 maximum per month. 6. Paying not less than $270 and under $300 per month for water»467. 50 maximum per month. 7. Paying $300 or more per month for water--$75. 00 maximum per month. Upon application as hereinafter set forth, the monthly sewer service charge for each of the months of July, August and September, for each sewer customer having a metered water service and using water for sprinkling„purposes, shall be the amount computed by adding the individual • customer'Ersewer service charge for the previous three monthly billings (April, May and June) and dividing by three(3), however for the year 1965 only, the charge shall be computed by adding the individual customer=s previous two monthly billings (May and June) and dividing by two(2); PROVIDED, however, that all persons desiring such adjustment in both cases, by reasons of using water for sprinkling purposes, shall make application in writing with the City Clerly+Comptroller on or before the 30th day of June of the year such adjustment is sought to be applied.
