(7) The number of participating vehicles; <br /> (8) The number of participating pedestrians. <br /> Section 11: DUTIES OF PERMITTEE. A permittee hereunder shall <br /> comply with all permit directions and conditions and with all applicable <br /> laws and ordinances. <br /> (1) POSSESSION OF PERMIT. The parade chairman or other person <br /> heading or leading such activity shall carry the parade permit upon his <br /> person during the conduct of the parade. <br /> Section 12: PUBLIC CONDUCT DURING PARADES. <br /> (1) INTERFERENCE. No person shall unreasonably hamper, obstruct <br /> or impede, or interfere with any parade or parade assembly or with any person, <br /> vehicle or animal participating or used in a parade or any funeral procession. <br /> (2) DRIVING THROUGH PARADES. No driver of a vehicle, street car <br /> shall drive between the vehicle or persons comprising a parade or funeral <br /> procession when such vehicles or persons are in motion and are conspicuously <br /> designated as a parade. <br /> (3) PARKING ON PARADE ROUTE. The Chief of Police shall have the <br /> authority, when reasonably necessary, to prohibit or restrict the parking <br /> of vehicles along a highway or part thereof constituting a part of the route <br /> of a parade or funeral procession. The Chief of Police shall post signs to <br /> such effect, and it shall be unlawful for any person to park or leave un- <br /> attended any vehicle in violation thereof. No person shall be liable for <br /> parking on a street unposted in violation of this Ordinance. <br /> Section 13 : FUNERAL PROCESSIONS. Any person desiring to conduct <br /> a funeral procession shall not be required to comply with the provisions of <br /> this Ordinance except that the applicant shall make oral application to the <br /> Chief of Police or his duly authorized assistant one day in advance of said <br /> procession. The Chief of Police or his duly authorized assistant shall grant <br /> the applicant oral permission to conduct such funeral procession designating <br /> the route to be traveled. If there shall be a need for a Police escort, or <br /> if one shall be requested, the applicant shall pay $5.00 per hour for each <br /> uniformed man and vehicle assigned to such procession. The fee for such <br /> escort shall be paid to the City within thirty (30) days of such service and <br /> if not so paid there shall be a penalty added equal to the amount due. No <br /> permit shall be granted to any applicant who is delinquent in payment of <br /> such fees. <br /> Section 14: That Everett City Code Section 8.48.090-100-110 and <br /> Sections 174, 175 and 176 of Ordinance 3211 are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 15: Any person found guilty of a violation of the pro- <br /> visions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and on <br /> conviction shall be fined the sum of not more than $300.00 or imprisoned in <br /> the City Jail for not to exceed 30 days or by both such fine and imprison- <br /> ment. <br /> ex.,.
