The freestanding sign does not meet the current code requirements. Please revise the plans to either propose a <br /> monument sign or a freestanding sign that meets the requirements outlined in Chapter 36 of the Zoning code. <br /> Monument signs must be attached to a permanent foundation or decorative base and not attached to or dependent on <br /> support from any building, pole, posts or similar uprights. <br /> Freestanding signs must have a substantial base that is at least half as wide and thick as the sign itself. <br /> The setback, height,and size requirements for freestanding and monument signs are outlined in EMC19.36.040: <br /> https://www.codepublishing.com/WA/Everett/#!/Everettl9/Everett1936.html#19.36.040.
