We do however urge the County to consider restoring and using a limited number of the
original windows where it is feasible. Retention of a few of the better preserved windows can be incorporated
with other restorations and will enhance the planned interpretative efforts by demonstrating how closely the
replacements replicate the originals
We also encourage you to salvage the original windows and glass and have it available for reuse. Historic
window glass can be reused in other restoration projects:. Interest in the windows and the glass will vary
depending current needs of other projects, the inventory of available materials, and the condition of the
;windows. Therefore having a place to store the windows until they are needed is important. The Washington
State Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation and the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation
may be available to assist you locating a storage facility. Attached is,a list of contacts that may also be able to
assist you finding suitable situations for salvaging and reusing the windows, You will likely receive a more
prompt response if you have photos of the windows available, -
Sincerely
Snohomish County Historic Preservation Commission
Paul Christyierikins,Chair
CC: Mayor Ray Stephenson
Everett Historical Commission
