October 30, 2019 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., <br /> October 30, 2019, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore Historic <br /> City Hall, Council President Bader presiding. Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor <br /> Franklin and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Vogeli, Bader, and Tuohy <br /> were present. Council Member Stonecipher was excused. <br /> Mayor Franklin led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the October 23, 2019, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Members Moore and Roberts abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Franklin reported that she and Budget Subcommittee Chair Scott Murphy <br /> presented their 2020 City budget earlier today. She stated she would not be <br /> reading the entire address this evening but was pleased to present a balanced and <br /> responsible budget that supports the important services the City provides its <br /> residents and businesses. Mayor Franklin noted the 2020 budget was built on a <br /> foundation of seven quality-of-life priorities: responsive & responsible <br /> government, safe community, economic & cultural vitality, transportation & <br /> infrastructure, engaged & informed community, and education & workforce <br /> development. She also shared a few examples of investments reflected in the <br /> budget. The Mayor thanked Budget Subcommittee Chair Murphy, Council <br /> Members Moore and Stonecipher, and the entire Council.
