Remodel - Plan Check B1908-013
Hi James,
I was in on Tuesday 8-6-19 to turn in a couple of tenant improvement projects for Providence Hospital. You were
reviewing the drawings for intake and on the T.I.for the medical office building (Plan Check B1908-013)you were asking
about the number of stories and construction type for this building.
I have a copy of the original NBBJ 1988 drawings. Per the plans and constructed the building has 6 Stories—Ground
Floor(partially below grade)+ Floors 1-5. It also Mechanical Penthouse. The Construction Type (per either the 1985
UBC or the 1988 UBC) indicated was TYPE II-FR. Building is sprinkled. It was indicated as a B-2 Occupancy. Per either of
these UBC codes for a TYPE II-FR, it allowed for a maximum height of 160 feet and maximum number of stories of 12.
Hope this is what you needed.
Devin Saylor, AIA
Senior Associate
13 111 BDtesch, Hash&Ball
II Architects,RS.
2727 Oakes Avenue,Suite 100
Everett,WA 98201
425-259-0868
devin(abnharch.com
www.bnharch.com
1
