Please review and <br /> respond to the comments below. <br /> General <br /> 1. The rehabilitative construction costs for the building enclosure should be provided. If the <br /> costs exceed 5% of the assessed market value of the building ($14,900 based on the <br /> structure valuation currently shown as $298,000 on the County Assessor website) then <br /> the building will not be exempt from the provisions of RCW 64.55. Additional plans and <br /> inspections or a sales prohibition covenant will be required. <br /> a. Please complete the work sheet included with this response. <br /> 2. Floor ceiling assembly GA File Number FC 5120 requires a double-wood floor (1" <br /> nominal thickness). The existing building only has a layer of 3/4" thick sheathing. An <br /> alternate listing should be chosen. <br /> 3. Any new ceiling fans in the lower unit should not penetrate the fire-resistive ceiling <br /> assembly unless a ceiling radiation damper is installed (a separate, dropped-soffit can <br /> also be used so that the fan does not penetrate the assembly. Kitchen exhaust fans are <br /> not permitted to have dampers therefore an alternate should be shown. Section 714.1.1 <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the <br /> Building Division with two new sets of revised construction documents reflecting the corrections <br /> requested.
