BIN
Structural Analysis Report September 28, 2017
Carrier Site Number: SE52XC338 2
1 Data Provided and Assumptions
Data—Site walk photographs and a previous structural analysis by North West Tower Engineering dated
07/10/2010 were used to model and analyze the structure.
Assumptions—The following assumptions were made in order to complete the analysis of the structure. All
assumptions MUST be checked. If any assumption is found to be inaccurate Precision Design &Drafting shall be
immediately notified so that the appropriate changes can be made to this report.
Assumptions are as follows:
1. The existing monopole and its foundation were constructed as shown in the original design documents,
photos, and/or other documents.
2. The existing monopole and its foundation are in good condition with no corrosion, damage or fatiguing
which could cause a reduced capacity in any member.
3. The existing monopole meets the current code design loads and parameters.
4. The existing antenna mounts are in good condition with no corrosion, damage or fatiguing which could
cause a reduced capacity in any member.
2 conclusions
New Antenna Mounting Pipe: Three new panel antennas will replace the five existing panel antennas on new
antenna mounting pipes which attach to existing standoff arms, attached to an existing ring mount on the
monopole. The attached analysis shows that the new antenna mounting pipe is capable of supporting the design
loads and was found to be structurally adequate.
Existing Monopole: A previous structural analysis North West Tower Engineering dated 07/10/2010 states a
tower rating of 65.9%. The attached analysis shows that the proposed configuration will increase the tower rating
by approximately 7.81%. Therefore, the existing monopole is capable of supporting the design loads and was
found to be structurally adequate.
New Cabinet H-Frame: One new Telco and one new PPC cabinet will be added on a new cabinet H-frame on a
new concrete slab at ground level. The attached analysis shows that the new cabinet H-frame and associated
attachments are capable of supporting the design loads and were found to be structurally adequate.
New Cabinet Anchorages: One ECAB cabinet and one new BCAB cabinet will replace an existing cabinet on a
new concrete slab at ground level. The attached analysis shows that the new cabinet anchorages are capable of
supporting the design loads and were found to be structurally adequate.
11768 Atwood Rd,Suite 20,Auburn, CA 95603 Tel: (530)823-6546 bret@pdnd corn
