CITY_OF`EEREcer.
TO: Kirk Brooks mmreinn ,
FROM: John Jimer
RE: Craftsman Dist ct Boatyard Development PIanS
I have reviewed the above referenced plans and have the following comments:
Submit details for exterior lighting sufficient to demonstrate compliance with dark
sky standards, downward orientation and design guideline standards for poles
and fixtures.
2. Identify on the plans all outdoor boat painting and sanding areas and modify
plans to include screening and landscaping that will substantially contain drifting
spray and debris in the work yard (General condition No. 24 of the development
agreement).
3. Clain link fencing is shown around the perimeter of the boat yard. Note that in
several contexts, the PoR GardnerWharf Design Guidelines prohibits chain link
fence. Efforts should be made to minimize the visual impact of the fence without
compromising security. There may be oppoRunity to address visual impacts of
the fence when addressing comment no. 2 above.
4. On the landscape plan (Sheet L1.6), change the tree size to 2 Y' caliper (pg. 20
Design Sfandards and Guidelines and Chapter 4 A pg 7 of Port Gardner Wharf
Design Guidelines).
Provide calculations showing there are the minimum number of trees per parking
stalls required (Chapter 4 A pg 7 of Port Gardner Wharf Design Guidelines).
Demonstrate that all parking spaces are within 50' of an internal landscape area
(Section 19.35.080(D)3 EMC).
6. On the landscape plan, show ail above ground utility and mechanical equipment
and proposed screening.
