The manufacturer will remove the existing destroyed equipment <br /> and fall protection system and then install updated play equipment of the same design as the destroyed <br /> original equipment. The PlayBooster includes components such as a turbo twister slide, a thunderhead <br /> climber and the connection system for a spacelink climbing net(which will also be replaced due to fire <br /> damage). <br /> The detailed scope for the project includes two primary tasks: 1) demolition,removal and disposal of the <br /> destroyed equipment and fall protection system;and 2) acquisition,manufacture,delivery and installation of <br /> replacement play equipment and fall protection. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Adopt an ordinance creating a special improvement project entitled"Garfield Park Playground,"Fund 354, <br /> Program 042,for the replacement of certain Garfield Park Playground Equipment destroyed by the May, <br /> 2013 fire. <br />
