The lowest responsive and responsible bidder, CEMEX Construction Materials Pacific, LLC, submitted a bid for$2,344,550.15. The arterial streets to be overlaid this year have been prioritized and selected on the basis of the City's Pavement Management System. Additionally,this project will assist the Public Works Department with a partial overlay of the department vehicles parking lot. The 2013 Overlay Project includes a base bid of approximately 16,900 tons of hot-mix asphalt,utility adjustments, and all other appurtenances necessary to complete the work. The budget for this contract is$2,344,550.15 and the sources of funds are: Federal Grant—SPTUL-9999(651) $ 676,000.00 Fund 119—Street Improvements (Arterial Streets) 1,594,632.15 Fund 401 —Utility Construction 73,918.00 Total sources of funds $ 2,344,550.15 RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): Award the bid for the 2013 Overlay Project to CEMEX Construction Materials Pacific,LLC, in the amount of$2,344,550.15,including Washington State Sales Tax. 21
