These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions <br />may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references <br />refer to the 1997 Uniform Building code, as amended by the State oF Washington and/or <br />the Washington State Energy Code, 1997 edition, unless noted otherwise. <br />This review dces not cover submitted mechanical, spriniker, electrical or plumbing <br />documents — these permits must be obtained separately and may require fwther ctview <br />and submission of plans. <br />In order for the processing o[ your applicadon to contlnue, it will be necesvsary to <br />pro�•ide the Building Division with two rnmplete new sets of drawings retlecting the <br />correctlons requested. <br />The new exterior wali is shown less than 5' from the westem property line. For <br />B/M occupancies of V-N construction, the exterior wall should be of minimum <br />one-hour constructian. A detsil and listing should be provided. Section 503 �.1 <br />and Table 5-A <br />2. A parapet should be provided on the new western exterior wall. Section "109.4.1 <br />3. A minimum of I" air space should be provided above the attic insulation. This <br />space should be vented at a minimum ratio of 1/300 (to include a vapor barrierl. <br />Alsa note that this ventilation may not occur in the westem wall as it is Iceated <br />where openings are not permitted ��e to distance to property lines.
