The following are the revisions discussed: <br />1. Two exits are provided from the main floor. A second exit utilizes a new one- <br />hour rated corridor and existing stairway at the east end of the building. Two <br />exft sfgns are provided above the corndor entrance door and basement exit <br />door. <br />2. Hendrails are provided on each side of all ataira notinp 12" handrail extensiona <br />beyond the top riser and 23" beyond the bottom riser. <br />3. All doorways and aisles have been provided with an unobstructed clear width <br />of not less than 32 inches. <br />4. Both service counters, for sale of books and espresso, have been revised to <br />meet the UBC Table 31-E requirements. <br />5. Controls, hand operating mechanisms, and hardware have been provided per <br />requirements setforth by the 1991 UBC and all contributinp amendments to <br />the 1991 UBC, as well as regulations setforth by the ADA. <br />I trust this information will help in allowing the plan review process to continue.
