Motors in systems desgned to use more <br />than one speed of a multi -speed motor. <br />2. Motors already included in the efficiency <br />requirements for HVAC equipment (Tables 14. <br />1 A or 14-1 B) . <br />3. Motors that are an integral part (i.e. not <br />easily removed and replaced) of specialized <br />process equipment (i.e, equipment which <br />requires a special motor, such as an explosion - <br />proof motor). <br />4. Motors integral to a listed piece of <br />equipment for which no qualifying motor has <br />been approved (i.e. if the only U.L. listing for the <br />equipment is with a less -efficient motor and <br />there is no energy -efficient motor option). <br />For motors claiming an exception, list motor and <br />note which exception applies. <br />
