C. <br />h 9. <br />Your layout plans and specifications have been reviewed <br />by the Snohomish Health District with the following <br />comments: <br />1. Restrooms and checkstand hand wash station must be <br />plumbed with hot/cold water tempered by means of a <br />mixing valve or combination faucet. <br />2. Restrooms must have sufficient ventilation, mechanically <br />vented to the outside, to keep them free of obnoxious <br />odors. <br />3. Permanently fixed artificial light source shall be <br />installed to provide 20 foot candles of light in the <br />walkin refrigeration unit. <br />4. Shielding to protect against broken glass shall be <br />provided for all artificial light sources located in <br />the walkin refrigeration unit. <br />5. The floor of the walkin cooler shall be constructed <br />of smooth, durable material such as sealed concrete, <br />terrazzo, or ceramic the and shall be maintained in <br />good repair. <br />6. Walls and ceiling of the restroom facility must be <br />constructed of a light colored, smooth, nonabsorbent, <br />and easily cleanable material. Concrete, if used, <br />must be covered to provide an easily cleanable surface. <br />7. Unless refrigeration units are self contained, all Leeolwxia <br />refrigerated cases and the walkin cooler condensate' <br />drains must be plumbed indirectly to the sewage system. <br />8. Your layout plans do not show a mop sink. Each establish" <br />ment must have at least one utility sink or curbed <br />cleaning facility provided and used for the cleaning <br />of mops or similar wet floor cleaning tools and for <br />the disposal of mopwater or similar liquid wastes. <br />9. Utility service lines and pipes shall not be unnecessarily <br />exposed on walls or ceilings in walkin refrigerating <br />units. <br />
