These projects included a set of"parks projects"located in Snohomish County. The County Council approved, on April 17,2013, a list of parks projects to be financed with proceeds of the bond sale. One of the projects included Hannabrook Park. The proposed Interlocal Agreement will provide up to $50,000 in matching funds to assist in the installation of a new playground at Hannabrook Park by August 31,2014. The County will match, dollar for dollar,the cost to design,acquire, and install new playground equipment up to a maximum of$50,000. This match will be on a cost-reimbursement basis. • In recognition of this partnership,the Interlocal Agreement stipulates that the City will 1) install a plaque at the park recognizing Snohomish County as a financial sponsor of the playground; and 2)recognize Snohomish County as a financial sponsor in City promotional material related to the playground. RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the Interlocal Agreement with Snohomish County for Park Project Funding for Hannabrook Park. 39
