12 <br /> EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> SUMMARY: <br /> Dykeman shall provide design and architectural services for a Quiet Room which shall be located on the <br /> second floor of the Main Library located at 2702 Hoyt Avenue. The renovation area shall be <br /> approximately 900 SF in size and shall accommodate an expanded Work Room located next to the <br /> exiting Northwest Room and a Quiet Room located next to the expanded Work Room. Stacks are <br /> currently located in this area and will need to be removed or relocated. Changes to power,data, <br /> mechanical and lighting systems are anticipated to be minimal and will be handled as bidder design. <br /> Dykeman shall provide contract documents so that the Facilities Department can obtain a Building <br /> Permit and Competitive Bids. Bidding and Construction Administration services are not included in the <br /> scope of work. The total project budget of approximately$43,000 has been established for this project. <br /> The schedule for the completion of the Contract Documents shall be December 31,2013. <br /> The following is a detailed scope of work: <br /> ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES <br /> Predesign: <br /> 1. Develop scope of work with the assistance of library staff. <br /> 2. Prepare limited as-built drawings within the specific area of work. <br /> Schematic Design/Design Development: <br /> 1. Prepare schematic floor plan layout. <br /> 2. Research and select modular panel system. <br /> 3. Meet with the Owner to review plans. <br /> 4. Make one design revision based on Owner comments. <br /> 5. Final design development presentation. <br /> Contract Documents: <br /> 1. Prepare construction drawings including demolition plan,floor plan,reflected ceiling plan,and <br /> elevation drawings. <br /> 2. Submit for building permit. <br /> 3. Specifications will be noted on the drawings; a separate project manual in not included. <br /> 4. Meet with Owner to review the final drawings. <br /> 69 <br />
