The Uniform Building Code provides that all pernits expire by <br /> "talion if the work authorized by the permit is suspended or abandoned at. ny time after work is <br /> commenced for a pe,iid of 180 days. If you wish to prevent the permit from expiring without <br /> documentation of completion, you may: <br /> 1) Request an inspection of work that has occurred,to document continuing progress, <br /> or 2) Request final inspection if the work is completed, <br /> or 3) Submit a written request for a 180 day extension. <br /> Plr se respond within 10 days. After that time the file will be sent to our Records Department for <br /> microfilming without final approval.
