PROJECT AND SITE CONDITIONS 1.0 INTRODUCTION This report presents the results of our subsurface exploration and geotechnical engineering study for the proposed Everett Bus Facility. The project will encompas. 1220 and 1304 80" Street SW in Everett, Washington. The location of the site is shown on the Vicinity Map, Figure 1. The location of the proposed bus facility and die approximate locations of the explorations accomplished for this study are presented on the Site and Exploration Plan, Figure 2. 1.1 Purpose and Scope The purpose of this study was to provide geotechnical recommendations to be used in the design and development at the above-mentioned project. Our study included a review of available geologic literature and geotechnical reports, drilling exploration borings, and performing geologic studies to assess the type, thickness, distribution, and physical properties of the subsurface sediments and shallow ground water conditions. Geotechnical engineering studies were also conducted to provide pavement support recommendations and drainage considerations. This report summarizes our current fieldwork and offers development recommendations based on our present understanding of the project. 1.2 Authorization Written authorization to proceed with this study was provided by the Everett School District. Our work has been accomplished in general accordance with our scope of work letter dated September 30, 2005, This report has been prepared for the exclusive use of the Everett School District and their agents for specific application to this project. Within the limitations of scope, schedule, and budget, our services have been performed in accordance with generally accepted geotechnical engineering and engineering geology practices in effect in this area at the time our report was prepared. No other warranty, express or implied, is made. 2.0 PROJECT AND SITE DESCRIPTION This report was completed with an understanding of the project based on discussions with Mr. Hal Beumel with the Everett School District and review of a preliminary site plan drawing showing the locations of the proposed improvements. The site will encompass two existing lots located at 1220 and 1304 80' Street SW in Everett, Washington. The site area where improvements will be constructed consists of two existing commercial/retail buildings on the north half of the lots.
