' - -
Proposed Modernizafion ond Additions to Subsurface Exploration, Geologic Hazards,
Eisenhower Middle School nnd Geoechnical Engineering Report
Everett, 4ashington Geologic Hazardr and Mitigatiou
3. To reduce the amount of soil transport during site grading, silt fences should be placed
along the downslope perimeters of the site.
4. Construction should proceed during the drier periods of the year, if possible, and
disturbed areas should be revegetated as soon as possible.
5. Ground water seepage should be anticipated during site grading. Seepage should be
controlled and tightlined into a suitable collection system and disposed of into an
approved storm water drainage system or temporazy storage facility. Specific seepage
recommandations related to erosion and/or slope stability hazards aze best levcloped in
the field at the time of construction, when the actual seepage conditions can be 'i
observed. I
6. Soils which are to be reused around the site should be stored in such a manner as to
reduce erosion. Protective measures may include, but are not necessarily limited to,
covering with plastic sheeting or the use of straw bales/silt fences. Soils excavated for I
foundation walls should nct be placed on sloped areas or within 15 feet of the crest of a
slope.
lmmnrv ?9, 200d ASSOCldTED EARTH SCIENCES, lNC. r Z
 .NT•7d-KE0J7J8AI-Prorun7WJ7J9'Kf.11YP-rn• Page 9
