EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> A. Project Description: <br /> The goal of this project is to design and install a painted mural to be sited at California <br /> Avenue on the north side of the building whose address is 2801 Colby Avenue, Everett, <br /> Washington. See attached map. <br /> B. Requirements: <br /> 1. The Artist agrees that an essential element of this agreement is the skill and creativity of <br /> the Artist.The Artist,therefore, shall not assign the creative or artistic portions of the <br /> Work to another party without the consent of the Purchasers. <br /> 2. In the event that the Artist must make changes to the design during construction,the <br /> Artist shall present any changes in the scope, design, character, medium, structure or <br /> installation of the project to the Purchasers for approval. <br /> 3. The Artist will provide information to the Purchasers regarding materials and anti-graffiti <br /> top coat to be used in the creation of the Work. Substitutions may be requested by the <br /> Purchasers in the event that the proposed materials do not comply with health and safety <br /> issues. <br /> 4. Upon completion of the Work and prior to final payment the Artist must submit the <br /> following to the Purchasers: <br /> a. Two digital images, and <br /> b. A care information sheet which details the materials used in and the care <br /> required for the Work; <br /> c. An Artist's statement concerning the Work that the City may use for public <br /> information purposes; <br /> d. The Artist's professional resume. <br /> 5. The Artist shall participate in a dedication ceremony. <br /> 6. The Artist shall acknowledge the Purchasers's role in funding the Work in all public <br /> presentations and written, printed or electronic publication of information regarding the <br /> Work. <br /> C. Consultation: <br /> The Artist will consult as necessary with the owner of the building, Craig Skotdal or Carol <br /> Thomas,the Project Manager(or design staff and/or sub-consultants) in order to complete <br /> the Scope of Work specified in this Agreement. The Work shall include recognition of the <br /> Purchasers with the words"Commissioned by the City of Everett and Skotdal Real Estate". <br /> D. Art Work Description: <br /> Original design that reflects Everett <br /> E. Technical Specifications: <br /> Upon completion of the mural, the artwork will be protected with an anti-graffiti top coat. <br />
