Jackson Park on May 11,2011. The plan <br /> recommended that the park be redeveloped in two phases. The first phase includes the majority of the <br /> neighborhood park elements,serving the Delta and Riverside neighborhoods. Improvements include <br /> elements such as an additional restroom and picnic shelter,community garden,new playground,raingarden, <br /> and an upgraded basketball court. <br /> Staff recommends the establishment of a new funding ordinance to provide funding for the development of <br /> the park's Phase One improvements. In addition to a City contribution of$400,000 from CIP 3,this <br /> improvement project has been selected for funding from a combination of federal, state and county grant <br /> programs in the amount of$1,638,795.00. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Adopt an Ordinance creating a special improvement project entitled"Senator Henry M.
