The first is to hire a consultant to create a context statement of mid-century residential development in the Claremont Neighborhood and to inventory approximately 10 representative properties in the area. The second is to contract with the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions to conduct two one-day workshops on mid-century historic resources. This grant agreement was approved by Council at the October 16,2013,Council meeting. The goal is to reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured by impaired drivers in Snohomish County by deploying DUI patrols at times and locations where data indicates that the most safety benefit can be realized. The Everett Police Department was allocated$15,000 to participate in this project between October 1,2013 and September 30,2014. Council authorized the Mayor to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the WTSC at the September 25,2013,Council meeting for this allocation. Increase grant revenue 031 3332060131 15,000 Increase Police overtime budget 031 5220000120 15,000 Department Code Rev Exp FB GGA-16 Police Amendment-WA Traffic Safety Grant 031A 5,100 GGA-16 General Fund Amendment-WA Traffic Safety Grant 002A 5,100 The Washington Traffic Safety Commission(WTSC)provides funding for Snohomish County law enforcement agencies to conduct high visibility enforcement traffic safety emphasis patrols,in support of Target Zero Teams priorities. The goal is to reduce traffic related deaths and serious injuries by engaging in multijurisdictional,high-visibility patrols in the areas of impaired driving and occupant protection(seat belts). The Everett Police Department was awarded a$3,500 allocation for impaired driving enforcement and$1,600 for seat belt enforcement for the period of October 1,2013 to September 30, 2014. Council authorized the Mayor to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the WTSC at the October 9, 2013,Council meeting for this allocation. .
