3 <br /> • <br /> WHEREAS, the Advisory Board met on December _, 2013, and has recommended to <br /> Council that the Council approve use of the City NMTC Allocation for the Small <br /> Business Loan Project; <br /> WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the Mayor to take all actions necessary to <br /> • deploy the remainder of the City NMTC Allocation to the Small Business Loan Project; <br /> and <br /> • <br /> WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the Mayor, in. the event that the Hampton <br /> Project is unable to proceed in 2013, to take all actions necessary to deploy the entire <br /> City NMTC Allocation to the Small Business Loan Project; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Council finds that the City is acting in compliance with the City Charter <br /> • <br /> and RCW Chapter 35.22. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby Resolved by the City Council of the City of <br /> Everett as follows: <br /> Section 1. The recitals above are hereby incorporated into this Resolution by this <br /> reference. <br /> Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to take all actions necessary to deploy City NMTC <br /> Allocation to the Small Business Loan Project consistent with this Resolution. If for any <br /> reason the Hampton Project is unable to proceed by the end of 2013, the Mayor is <br /> authorized to take all actions necessary to deploy the entire City NMTC Allocation to the <br /> Small Business Loan Project. <br /> Section 3. As necessary and due to the urgency of deploying the City's NMTC <br /> Allocation and to facilitate the implementation of this Resolution, the Mayor in his <br /> discretion may delegate some or all of the authority granted under Section 2 above and <br /> under the April Resolution(including the authority to execute documents on behalf of the <br /> City in connection with the Hampton Project and the Small Business Loan Project)to the <br /> Chief Administrative Assistant,•the Director of Public Works, and/or the Office of the <br /> City Attorney. <br /> // <br /> // <br /> // <br /> // <br /> // <br /> // <br /> // <br /> // <br /> // <br /> // <br /> •7 <br />
