I CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTON SPECIFICATIONS FOR WATERMAIN REPLACEMENT "U" WO NO. - UP3698 NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the WATERMAIN REPLACEMENT "U" will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 1st Floor Wall Street Building, 2930 Wetmore, Everett, Washington 98201, until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. At the appointed time, all bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in an assigned conference room on the 8th floor of the Wall Street Building. The engineer's estimate for this Project is $2,544,810. Work being performed includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct approximately 2,630 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron and 3,020 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron watermain and other such appurtenances and performing all Work as required by the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Plans and Contract Provisions. Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of Everett". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders "Register" in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the"Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. All bids must be made upon the regular forms provided for this purpose and must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid after the hour set for the opening thereof. The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of the City. The right is reserved by the City to postpone the award for a period of 45 days after bid opening.
